2026Feb05 - A Breathing Practice
Tonight the students joining me were 2s and 3s out of 5, and there were requests for opening a stiff back and hamstrings, plus rolling out our feet. We started with seated spinal movements as warmups before progressing through nasal clearing, humming, and caring breath. We moved onto our back to engage leg and spine muscles out of gravity. Then we moved into our bellies for spinal engagements with cobra and boat lifts, working toward non-lifting lifts. Then we move to standing for rolling our out feet, the Godfield toe movements, and trees pose with the stairstep breathing. Practice finishes with a twist, Nadi shodhana, then seated meditation.
