Today the students joining me were 1, 2s 3s and 4s out of five, and there were requests for neck & shoulders, breaking up congestion, body length, twists, and hips for someone recovering from a hip replacement.

Props: strap, bolster, blanket

We started on our backs today today with rest and gravity. Today’s practice threads humming into our different movements and positions. Humming creates vibration for congestion relief, and also helps our respiratory diaphragm to lengthen and unstiffen. We spend a long luxourious about of time on our backs in

Our warm-up sequence starts at the neck and then moves down through the spine to the legs. Lots of time to rest and feel between sides and techniques, both without and with the strap. Eventually we made to seated spinal movements before heading to standing to explore sidebands, forward folds, squats, warrior, dancer pose, and a hint of standing stick. After a long, self-guided flow to get back to seated position, we explored nadi-shodhana, meditation, before shavasana. Enjoy!
