16Oct - A Breathing Practice
Today the students joining me were 2s and 3s out of 5, and there was a request for non-lifting lifts to help relax muscles before sleeping.
Props: bolster, blanket
We started with seated breath awareness and meditation, then explored seated spinal movements and neck, shoulder, and ribs opening. Before heading to our backs, we explored stop-relax-go in the breathing pattern.
Once we came down to our backs, we continued using stop relax go with twists, figure-4, and bridge. Then using non-lifting lifts, we explored did some sneaky ab work, before revisiting our first poses to see if anything had changed.
Practice finished in seated or shavasana exploring two chambers breathing and unstiffening into gravity. Enjoy
