2025Nov02 - A Longer PracticeToday, those joining me live were 0.5, 1s, 2s, 3s, and 4s out of 5 energy level. There were requests to support 2 people recovering from covid congestion, as well as for laying down strap work for hips. During this practice we started with seated spinal movement moved on to simple weight bearing poses to engage muscles around the neck, ribcage, shoulders and arms. Then we explored self Manual Lymphatic Drainage techniques to help clear sinuses and encourage drainage to the lymph nodes. After some lunging explorations, we head towards standing to for balance and hip poses, before heading to our backs for supine hip opening with the strap. We ended with Shavasana or Seated meditation, student’s choice. Enjoy!
Today in practice, I read this quote from Howard Zinn, focusing on “The future is an infinite succession of presents, and to live now as we think human beings should live, in defiance of all that is bad around us, is itself a marvelous victory. ~ Howard Zinn
